Sophia Gutierrez joins the Recruitment and Selection team as the recruitment and outreach manager. She previously served as the program coordinator in Scholar Advising for three years.

Fall Banquet
Representing the senior class, Greear Webb ’23 delivered the 2022 Fall Banquet speech to an audience of Morehead-Cain Scholars. The event took place at The Carolina Club at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ninth Triennial Morehead-Cain Alumni Forum
Inspired by the renowned Renaissance Weekend, the Morehead-Cain Alumni Forum was first held in 1997, the brainchild of Brad Ives ’86. The purpose of the weekend is to bring together all Morehead-Cains—every three years—for a delightful blend of college reunion and high-level symposium. The co-chairs for the Alumni Forum were Brian Strong ’00 and Madhu Vulimiri ’14, and Janora McDuffie ’99 served as the event’s emcee. The keynote address for the alumni dinner was delivered by Jerry Blackwell ’84.
