Civic Collaboration Spotlight: Building a talent pipeline in Albuquerque, New Mexico

News & Spotlights | July 20, 2023
Civic Collaboration Team Albuquerque

Civic Collaboration Team Albuquerque is working with the City of Albuquerque on a talent pipeline and acquisition program. The team—Spence Whitman ’26, Le Ha ’26, Maanya Rajesh ’26, Katie Fear ’26, and Jackson Miller ’26—is creating interactive workbooks for interns and intern managers.

In their free time, the team has explored the city and surrounding areas, and visited several national parks, including the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, the Petrified Forest, and the Grand Canyon.

Team Albuquerque’s host is Liz Kistin Keller ’04 of the City of Albuquerque’s Office of the Mayor.

During the Civic Collaboration summer, teams of scholars embed themselves in cities across the U.S., investigate those communities’ challenges and opportunities, and propose real solutions. Not as interns—but as citizens.
